FAQs

Can a chiropractor help tennis elbow? Yes. Joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and a progressive tendon-loading program help most people. Tennis elbow is a tendon overload problem, so the exercises are the most important part.

Is my hand numbness coming from my neck or wrist? It can be either, or both. Numbness in the thumb and first fingers at night often points to the wrist (carpal tunnel). Numbness with neck pain or in a band down the arm often points to the neck. The exam helps sort it out.

Should I wear a brace? A counterforce strap can ease tennis elbow pain during activity, and a night splint helps some carpal tunnel symptoms. Braces support recovery; they don't replace the strengthening work.

How long does tennis elbow last? Often 6 to 12 weeks with consistent care and exercise, sometimes longer. Many cases improve on their own within a year, but treatment usually gets you there faster.
